Hello ! I’m Bronte, the creative force behind Studio Sylvie.
My passion for healthy, nature-inspired landscapes began in the Suffolk countryside, where I spent hours exploring the terrain, engaging with my grandparents' garden, and observing the rhythms of nature. These formative experiences sparked a lasting curiosity about how we shape our environments and led to a lifelong love of creating spaces that nurture both people and the natural world.
Raised in a creative family, I have always had design in my veins. My initial passion however, was for horses, and I spent nearly a decade working as an equine sports massage therapist. An experience that deepened my ability to work holistically and enhanced my understanding of how systems — living, structural, and environmental — interact. Ultimately, I transitioned into landscape design, following my creative instincts. I gained horticultural training through the RHS while completing a design course at Capel Manor College. My skills truly began to flourish when I enrolled in the Garden Design Diploma at the London College of Garden Design, graduating with distinction in 2024. I was then honoured to receive the Student Designer of the Year (Domestic Category) award from the Society of Garden and Landscape Designers (SGLD) at the start of 2025.
I founded Studio Sylvie as a solo, woman-led studio with a mission to bring thoughtful, sustainable garden design to a wider audience. Through my consultancy, Ask Sylvie, I offer personalised, client-focused consultations that ensure every garden project reaches its full potential. For design professionals, Sylvie Design produces evocative, digital landscape illustrations to communicate designs.

“Bronte delivered a set of visuals for a project where we needed to go above and beyond. The visuals were evocative and highly impactful. They greatly helped us to convey the atmosphere and beauty of the scheme. It was a tight turnaround and a brief that required a lot of imagination and elegance yet Bronte pulled through to the highest standard. ”

While CGI (Computer-Generated Imagery) is an powerful tool for creating polished, photo realistic visuals, Studio Sylvie offers a distinctive alternative through evocative, digital illustrations. These visuals go beyond surface detail to communicate the unique tone, mood, and sense of place embedded in each project. Emotionally resonant and true to the spirit of the design, they capture how a space might feel to experience — not just how it will look. This approach offers clients and collaborators a more intuitive way to understand a project’s potential and helps communicate both its practical function and character.

To create a visual that truly reflects your design intent, I generally work from a clear brief, a moodboard, and a sketch model — something like a basic SketchUp model works well. These help me understand the atmosphere, structure, and overall direction of the space.
That said, not every project comes with a fully developed model — and that’s absolutely fine. Sketch visuals can be created over the top of hand-drawn sketches, or photographs, offering a flexible way to communicate your ideas visually. If you don’t yet have a model but would like one created, I offer a separate service to build sketch models from CAD drawings.
If you're unsure what you need or how best to prepare, feel free to get in touch — I’m always happy to talk it through and help you get started.
